Turkish novelist, Orhan Pamuk, in a recent interview with Newsweek on the completion of his real Museum of Innocence, which commemorates the plot and characters of his eponymous (fictional) novel says: 'I realized that exactly the same old saltshaker, clocks and sundry knickknacks that I saw in wealthy Istanbul's junk shops were in fact easily found the world over. Like migratory birds, objects too travelled on mysterious flyways (my emphasis) (Newsweek 2012). I am creating and inviting texts and dialogues about the practices of, and the ambitions behind collecting (in the 'west' and elsewhere); the circulation and agency of objects and the mutations and resilience of objects travelling on the 'flyways'.

Catherine Beaugrand, être contingent, hüzun et ici - le rêve du rêve du magnolia grandiflora
La recherche engagée sous ce titre confronte les écrits du philosophe japonais Kûki Shûzo au livre-musée de l'écrivain turc Orham Pamuk. Tous deux, font de la contingence une expérience esthétique qui nous renvoie constamment à des réalités possibles qui ne sont pas présentes mais qui forment pourtant aussi la réalité.
La forme finale se construit en menant une réflexion adjacente sur la notion d'editing et le rôle de l'editor dans le monde numérique.
